Babak Habibi Sardary, MASc
Co-Founder, CEO
Babak is a veteran of the intelligent systems and the software industry. Before Trusterra, he was the president and CTO of Braintech Inc. a Vancouver company involved in the development of advanced vision guided robotics software. Babak has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering specializing in mechatronics/robotics from the University of Waterloo, Canada and over 16 years experience designing and developing both industrial and consumer intelligent software products. At Braintech he concepted and led the development of eVisionFacotry™ (eVF), world’s first graphical studio for vision guided robotic solutions. On behalf of his team he received the prestigious Henry Ford Technology Award in 2003 for the development of ground breaking single camera 3D system for robotic guidance and deployment at Ford Motor’s flagship F-150 engine plants. During his career he has initiated and led multiple collaborative projects with major corporations including ABB Robotics, Ford Motor, Toyota Motor, General Motors, Microsoft and Lego related to development and commercialization of intelligent systems.

Mojgan has been involved in web development since the mid-90’s with extensive tenure at one of BC’s top ICT development firms Openroad Communications. She was part of the generation of developers that brought to market web applications, for the first time providing desktop application interactivity within a web browser. Mojgan who holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering has been involved in many projects developing mission critical web applications for public and private sector clients in British Columbia. She is extremely well-versed with various web development languages, design patterns, environments and technologies.
Dr. Shahram Tafazoli

Dr. Shahram Tafazoli, PhD.
Industrial and Academic Advisor

Dr. Tafazoli received his B.A.Sc. and M.A.Sc. degrees from Sharif University of Technology EE Department (Tehran, Iran) in 1989 and 1992, respectively. He came to Canada immediately to start his Ph.D. in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of UBC in the area of Robotics and Control Systems. In 1999 he founded Motion Metrics International (MMI), a company focused on the development of advanced technologies and solutions for the open-pit mine industry. MMI has installed its novel solutions in more than 35 mines around the globe. Dr. Tafazoli and his 16 full-time personnel in MMI actively use the Scoop™ platform to update one another on various industrial projects and to address daily requirements posted by customers.
Michael KuhlmannMichael Kuhlmann
Marketing and Technology Advisor
Michael has worked as an entrepreneur since graduating from UBC in Economics in 1998. He started his first venture while finishing university and has worked internationally at a digital media venture incubator in Boston. In 2001, Michael returned to Vancouver and launched the Mobitus Communications consulting practice which he sold when he co-founded FatPort in late 2001. Being a serial entrepreneur Micheal has since co-founded and successfully led Colony Networks, a network Software as a Service and managed service provider. His latest venture is Brainmaven Research, an on-demand research firm powered by top students at leading universities globally.
